Fort Lauderdale, FL – Conservative Republican George Moraitis, a decorated Navy veteran and former State Representative, announced today that his campaign raised over $106,000 in the third quarter of 2025, bringing his total raised to more than $485,000 since entering the race in March. The strong showing once again places Moraitis at the top of the field among Republican candidates for Florida’s 23rd Congressional District – a key target for Republicans in 2026.
“This momentum reflects the strong support our campaign is earning across South Florida,” said Moraitis. “Voters are ready for a conservative leader who will fight for taxpayers, protect our freedoms, and stand up to the big-government pushed by DC Democrats. I’m deeply grateful for the confidence and support of so many friends and neighbors who share our vision for a stronger, more prosperous America.”
Moraitis has secured endorsements from 18 local leaders as well as Congressmen Greg Steube and Jake Ellzey. The campaign’s strong performance underscores a broad base of community support, with contributions from hundreds of local donors committed to restoring fiscal discipline, expanding economic opportunity, and defending constitutional principles. With continued fundraising success and growing momentum, the campaign enters the final quarter of the year well-positioned to build the organization needed to win in 2026.
“As someone who has served both in uniform and in public office, I know that leadership means putting service before self,” Moraitis added. “The people of Broward and Palm Beach Counties deserve a representative who will listen, lead with integrity, and work tirelessly to get results.”
A lifelong resident of the district, George graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and went on to serve honorably in the United States Navy before building a successful career in law. He proudly served the people of Broward and Palm Beach Counties in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018.
